Kensington Avenue Primary School has wrapped up a successful first full week of the autumn term, celebrating strong pupil engagement, site upgrades, and exciting new learning initiatives.
Key Highlights
Headteacher’s Welcome & Attendance Raffle: Mr. Killip reflected on a fantastic start to the year, noting pupils' enthusiasm and impressive reasoning skills in mathematics. Starting next week, every child achieving 100% weekly attendance will enter a raffle to win a brand-new book.
Reception Welcome: New Reception pupils settled into school life, creating self-portraits for their "Me and My Community" topic, while parents were welcomed with first-week treats.
Classroom Spotlight: Practical learning was underway across all year groups—from Year 3 crafting moving skeletons in science to Year 4 and Year 5 beginning recorder and clarinet music lessons.
Hot Chocolate Friday: The first Hot Chocolate Friday celebrated a nominated group of pupils who went above and beyond in their efforts.
