European Parliamentary Elections

24th April 2019

Dear Parents and Carers,

Thursday 23rd May 2019- European Parliamentary Elections: School as a Polling Station

There is a possibility that the UK will need to hold elections for the European Parliament on Thursday May 23rd if there isn’t an agreement in time between the MPs at Westminster on how the UK leaves the EU.

In the event of an election Kensington Avenue Primary School would be used as a polling station and would be shut to pupils on that day.

We won’t know for definite until much nearer the time but I would like to make you aware of the possibility in order to make any arrangements necessary for the care of your children on that day.

As soon as we have confirmation on whether the school will be open or closed for polling on the 23rd May we will send a text to all parents and update the website.

If you have any questions or would like to update your contact details so you get the notification as soon as possible then please speak to the office staff to let them know.

Yours sincerely,

Ms C Cranham

Headteacher
